Leroy Brown is a native of Boston Bay, Jamaica, which is famous for its Jamaican jerk food. He has been in the mobile food vending business for more than a decade, and Leroy's Original Jamaican Jerk Chicken & BBQ has been a fixture at the farmers market in downtown Chambersburg for several years. The owners decided to open a restaurant, which could offer a little more variety than a mobile food stand.

Leroy's Original Jamaican Jerk Chicken & BBQ is family-owned by Leroy Brown, Paula Lewis, David West, and Sadiki "Skip" Barro.

Leroy’s Original specializes in Jamaican cuisine, including jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, barbecue ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken and goat curry, oxtail platters, and sides, including rice and beans, white rice, cornbread, hush puppies, french fries, baked macaroni and cheese, fried plantains, cabbage, collard greens, and baked beans. Chicken and ribs are marinated in an original secret blend of fresh spices and seasonings. Take-out, dine-in, delivery and catering services are available.
